Riky Rick has since become a veteran and a respected emcee to be revered not only in South Africa but across the African region spreading his wings across the globe through his music and his elaborate fashion that closely comes to none both in Africa and across the world.
His fashion sense is just incomparable to none.
It wasn’t like that though for the Vaseline South Africa brand ambassador from the beginning and he has always reminded us how far he began in the bottom to become who he is today in the rap game.
Like most established rappers in the game today, he really started from the bottom and his debut hit album dubbed ‘Family Values’ changed his life for the better.
The ‘You and I’ hitmaker celebrated the 4th anniversary of the classic rap album back on April 3rd and he couldn’t be too emotional and happy at the same time.
“4 years ago today we released my debut studio album “Family Values”. ❤️” Riky Rick shared on April 3rd, 2019 celebrating the 4th anniversary of the album.
Riky Rick went on to say, “This album will always be close to my heart because it was recorded at a time where life was pushing me to dedicate myself and with the help of my friends, family, fans, the love of my life, and my children we were able to create something special.
The Journey Continues..” about his album that had hit records like ‘Boss Zonke’, ‘Come Alive’ and ‘Amantombazane’ which was so successful so much so that he did a remix for the record only this time featuring Nadia Nakai, Kwesta, DJ Dimplez, DJ Dimplez, Maggz, Ginger Breadman, and Okmalumkoolkat.
Riky Rick might be emotional about how far the ‘Family Values’ has taken him straight up to the upper echelon of the music industry and am not talking about the South African music industry alone but the entire African music rap scene and us, the fans, are grateful for the classic hip hop album he has been able to bless us with that will forever be etched on our hearts as one of the best rap albums thus far.
If you are yet to listen to an African classic rap album in the game today, I highly recommend you go on ahead and stream ‘Family Values’, It’s just a hip hop classic project on another level like no other album you’ve ever listened to.
