According to his Wikipedia Shelton Jackson “Spike” Lee (born March 20, 1957) is an American film director, producer, writer, and actor. His production company, 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks, has produced over 35 films since 1983.
He is an ardent supporter of Arsenal so most Kenyans have something in common with the superstar who is known far and wide, safe to say every corner of this world. Spike Lee who jetted in the country incognito is in Kenya for vacation has planted so many trees in honor of the greatest people who ever lived.
He planted many trees in Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya in honor of the late Prince, Muhammad Ali, Bill Nunn, George Michael, Michael jackson, Maurice White, Phife Dawg, David Bowie, Fort Greene, Biggie Smallz and even Brooklyn and New York Knicks but also forgot to plant a tree in honor of Arsenal since he is a loyal fan of the gunners.
Spike Lee seems to be enjoying his vacation in Kenya and having fun with the native Maasai there. Below are the photos of the trees Spike Lee has planted in honor of the many fallen known people in the world. So I guess what he needs to do before he heads back is to also take a ride in a matatu like American RnB singer Trey Songz did.
