A group from Luo Nyanza has now demanded that Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga retire from active politics.
The ‘Luo Nation Alternative Voice’ group is now urging the CORD leader to retire from active politics and assume the role of a statesman who can be consulted on various issues.
Its leader John Odenyo said that says that the Luo community has continued to languish in poverty because of bad politics and has urged the community to avoid being used as voting machines.
His sentiments were echoed by former Kisumu Mayor Mzee Ondu who said that it is time the community shunned leaders who are leading them to political oblivion.
The latest comes as Raila Odinga continues to face rebellion within his own ODM party and in the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD).
The Luo Nation Alternative Voice says that the Luo community has continued to languish in poverty due to bad politics.
