Bongo star Raymond Mwakyusa aka Rayvanny has revealed that he spent the whole week filming his upcoming music video.
In his statement, the Next Level Music label boss made it clear that the activity of recording his next video has cost him more than 70 million Tanzanian shillings.
Rayvanny said that he took that big step to give his fans quality music and videos.
“Nimetumia siku saba kushoot video yangu ijayo na kila siku sio chini ya 10M kushoot,” he said on Instagram.
“Yote ni kuhusu muziki mzuri na video nzuri kwa mashabiki wangu,” he added.
Rayvanny also revealed that he went to five cities to shoot the video.
However, the musician did not reveal which video is for his song or when he plans to release it.
About two months ago, Rayvanny made it clear how he coordinated the budget to make the video for his song ‘Nitongoze’ featuring Diamond Platnumz.
The Bongo singer uploaded a conversation on Instagram explaining how they collaborated with his director Ivan to make the video successful which was said to cost a large amount of money.
Vanny Boy said that he made a request to Ivan that he needed more than two hundred people to participate, while all of them were in special suits for the video – as seen in the video itself.
Ivan told him that finding the 200 people was not a problem, but he told him that the biggest hurdle in front of him was that each of them wanted to wear a suit worth Tsh200,000 to participate in the video.
Much to Ivan’s surprise, Rayvanny quickly agreed that he would pay for all the suits as long as the video was of high quality.
For quick calculations, 200 suits each costing Tsh200,000 is equal to Tsh40 million, or just about Ksh2 million.
Earlier, Diamond who was featured in the song praised Rayvanny in a unique way for not being stingy in pouring money to make the video which he described as international.
“#Nitongoze Video ya Rayvanny akimshirikisha Simba ishatoka sasa…Kaitizame kwenye bio ya @rayvanny … Hela umewekeza kwenye Video Chui, Ninajihisi fahari kuwa katika mradi huu wako kaka,” Diamond said.
