Rayvanny explains the real reason why he quit Wasafi one year after his exit

Rayvanny on July 12, 2022, officially announced that he had parted ways with Diamond Platinumz’s record label Wasafi after six years.

The Bongo singer expressed his gratitude to his former boss and recounted some of his highlights in Wasafi in an emotional tribute video uploaded on his social media.

Diamond Platnumz has on multiple occasions proved that he harbors no ill feelings toward Rayvanny who quit his record label WCB Wasafi.

The Wasafi boss still has a soft spot for Rayvanny, unlike Harmonize whom he completely cut off after he quit Wasafi in 2019.

Rayvanny has since explained that he felt he had been raised musically enough by WCB and that is why he took a big step to leave the label.

In a recent interview with a local radio station, Rayvanny also noted that he felt he had grown enough to also help other budding artistes.

“Ni hatua tu za kukua za kusonga kutoka sehemu moja kwenda sehemu nyingine. Kwa hiyo nikasema sawa, kwa hatua niliyofika naweza nikasonga mwenyewe na mimi nikashika mkono watu wengine sio tena kushikwa mkono kwa wazazi wanakulea alafu ukikua unatoka,” Rayvanny said.

Rayvanny additionally stated that he had successfully made strides with his Next Level Music (NLM) label since he became an independent artiste last year.

“Wasafi ni familia lakini na pia niko na hatua zangu na nashukuru Mungu. Ni mwaka sasa umepita na naendelea vizuri. Vitu vimekaa vizuri kabisa,” Rayvanny said.
