Raila Odinga might have had a wonderful month of August in the law courts it but seems his luck may be changing. Why? French biometrics company OT-Morpho says it will sue the National Super Alliance( NASA) leaders including presidential candidate Raila Odinga for defamation.
The French firm runs the IEBC servers. They are to sue him for libel, defamation, and slander in three international courts-Paris, Washington, London and also in Kenya. Manze these guys are going hard! The reason for all this court-room firepower is due to the fact that Raila Odinga alleged that the firm had conspired to deny him of the victory during the August 8 elections. He insisted that their system was hacked.
NASA leaders sent a letter to the French government that OT-Morpho should be investigated together with the South African firm Saffran. This is an excerpt that NASA co-principal Musalia Mudavadi read: “Initiate criminal investigations against the companies and their officials who may have acted in complicity and connived to undermine the will of the people of Kenya.”
OT-Morpho’s CEO Frederic Beylier denied the claims and went on the offensive saying that the claims by the NASA leaders had sullied the companies reputation. He said that he did not want the company to become the scapegoat for the political situation in Kenya.
There you have it. Basically, they are suing the former prime minister and current presidential candidate for defamation.
