From the sun-kissed lands of Turkana emerges a voice that’s destined to transcend borders—Queen Dillah, also known as Sheillah Emuria.
Her musical journey began at the tender age of 10, evolving through the formative years filled with poetry and school entertainment. These early experiences honed her singing skills, setting the stage for a remarkable career.
In 2020, Queen Dillah took her first step into the professional music world, recording her debut song “CEO” with Vic Ponds.
She quickly followed up with a second track, “Tulewe,” collaborating with Geng Tone artists Mbuzigang, Fathermoh, and Joefers, produced by Magix Enga. Her third release, a solo effort titled “Byron,” further showcased her talent and resilience.
Despite her promising start, 2021 brought significant challenges. While in college, juggling her studies and passion for music, she encountered a person who feigned support but ultimately hijacked her social media accounts through threats. This betrayal left her devastated and forced her to rebuild her career from scratch, with little support from home.
Undeterred, Queen Dillah continued to write songs, storing them on her phone and in her notebooks, waiting for the opportunity to record again.
In 2023, she began offering her talent for free, collaborating with other artists and participating in street rap challenges. These experiences not only kept her spirit alive but also honed her craft.
In 2024, Queen Dillah started a small business to fund her music. A pivotal moment came when she met Hon. H.E. Jeremiah Lomorukai Ekamais, the Governor of Turkana, who provided her with the resources to revive her career. His support enabled her to relaunch her music journey with renewed vigor.
With a new YouTube channel gaining traction, Queen Dillah released her first video, “Tonight,” featuring the acclaimed artist Masauti and produced by the renowned Vinc on the Beat. She is now gearing up for her next big release, “Vita,” also produced by Vinc on the Beat.
