Sometimes in March 2016, a crazy sexual and drug filled party dubbed ‘Project X’ sparked uproar prompting police to hunt the organizers. Three years after Project X, a similar party was held at Robi Club and the party animals were just minors.
Police on Friday August 16th 2019 arrested 11 boys and 19 girls at Robi Club in Kehancha town, Migori county after a night of binge drinking and sex orgy.
The arrest of the minors came after a tip off from members of the public. Area residents complained of the minors’ binge drinking and sexual acts.
Police moved in to nab 30 minors in a dawn swoop. The club’s owner Amos Murimi and a disc jockey Victor Ocharo were also arrested in the dawn raid.
Migori county Director of Criminal Investigations Njeru Nyaga told journalists that the suspects are being held at Kehancha and Isebania police stations because of their large number.
“The club is notorious for wild parties with underage revelers drinking alcohol and engaging in sex, and most often, we wake up to vandalism and used condoms littering the area,” local resident Alice Mwita told Nation.
