Ailing Tanzanian musician Joseph Haule aka Professor Jay has for the first time briefed his fans about his condition bringing an end to all speculations about his health.
Professor Jay he has been admitted at Muhimbili National Hospital for close to a month, there were several rumors about his health with some claiming his condition is deteriorating.
On Sunday February 20th, Professor Jay himself spoke on his condition when Parliamentary Committee on Social Services and Development visited him in hospital to check on him.
For starters, Professor Jay served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Mikumi constituency from 2015 to 2020 on opposition party Chadema.
“Ninajisikia vizuri sasa tofauti na mwanzo, nakula mwenyewe na ninakaa. Msijali kila kitu kitakua sawa. Mniombee (I feel better now than before, I eat myself and I stay. Don’t worry, everything will be fine. Pray for me),” Professor Jay told the parliamentary committee that visited him in hospital.
Diamond Platnumz’s manager and Morogoro South-East constituency MP Babu Tale (real name Shabani Hamisi Taletale) was among the MPs who visited Professor Jay in hospital.
“Hali ya Prof J imeendelea kuimarika na hivi sasa anaendelea vizuri na ametutambua wote kwa majina, tupuuzie maneno yanayozushwa mitandaoni (Prof J’s condition has improved and he is now doing well and he has identified us all by name, let’s not ignore the rumors that are being spread online),” said Babu Tale.
