Stupidity to some and bravery to others. But this stunt might well have won her a white man!
A couple of days back it emerged that a daring woman -some would say foolish- was roaming the streets of Nairobi with a placard that stated that she needed a husband. Was the woman, Prisca Nyambura, convinced that this that was her last hope of finding marital bliss? Or maybe she is more pragmatic than that. Whatever the reason it has clearly worked.
Apparently, a loaded white man who lives in Gigiri saw what she had done and was very impressed by her courage. The man is 38 years old and said that he would marry her and raise her child. His stated reason for raising the kid is because she is an innocent victim of poverty.
That was not the only news that transpired. He would marry her and set up a business for her. They would also be staying together in his home in Gigiri.
Where are the ululations? Where are the haters now? If this is how her story ends, then hers will not be remembered in infamy but as an act of courage. Or maybe am just a romantic? Whatever.
