President Uhuru security detail leaves nothing to chance in Nakuru as they secure him with an armored vehicle mounted with a deadly machine gun (photos)

The vehicle was first spotted in Kenya on June 1st 2014 during Madaraka Day celebrations at Nyayo Stadium, that was at the height of Al Shabaab terror attacks.

The 8-ton Reconnaissance and Command Vehicle (RCV) which is manufactured by an Austrian company for military customers, was part of President Uhuru’s motorcade when he made his way from State House Nakuru to Afraha stadium for 2016 Madaraka Day celebrations.

It’s not clear whether there was been any direct threat on the President to make his security detail use the armored beast.

A deadly machine gun was mounted on top of the RCV as the vehicle escorted the head of state to Afraha stadium.
