Former inspector general of police David Kimaiyo has lost his job once again, the second time in two years,President Uhuru Kenyatta has removed him from office at KAA.

This was after President Uhuru Kenyatta revoked his appointment made official in December 2014.

Kimaiyo has been replaced by former chief of Defense Forces Julius Karangi.

It is not yet clear why Kimaiyo was replaced considering he has only been in office for more than a year and half since his December 2014 call to duty.

Karangi retired as military chief in May 2015 but his term is set to officially end in July 2016. In the remaining weeks, he continues to hand over power to his successor, General Samson Mwathethe.
