The beautiful Faith Chepng’etich Kipyegon won Kenya gold in 1500m in the just concluded 2016 Rio Olympic in Brazil.
While others were celebrating Faith’s gold in 1500m, Team Mafisi were salivating after the 22-year-old athlete. Her beauty simply dumbfounded many.
After winning Kenya gold in 1500m, Faith Kipyegon’s father made a humble plea to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
56-year-old Samuel Koech Kipyegon requested the head of state to connect Ndabibit village in Nakuru County with electricity. Apparently Faith’s village had been in the dark since the begging of the world.
“I urge President Uhuru Kenyatta to make sure our village is connected to electricity so that I can see my daughter Faith running and winning medals for Kenya,” Faith’s dad was quoted as saying by Daily Nation.
A day after Daily Nation highlighted the plea of Faith’s father, Kenya Power descended on Ndabibit village to connect homesteads with electricity.
The ceremony to officiate the connection of electricity was presided over by the Cabinet Secretary for Energy Charles Keter who was accompanied by the Kenya Power Managing Director Ben Chumo and Olkalou MP David Kiaraho.
