A middle aged woman is nursing burn injuries after she set herself ablaze over what is believed to be a love triangle.
Cynthia Njoki, 28 who is recuperating at the Rift Valley Provincial General Hospital said she had an argument with her hubby when he arrived home after a night out with another woman whom Cynthia says the husband kept calling.
Out of anger, Cynthia who sustained 40 % body burn went straight to the kitchen where she burnt herself using kerosene.
“I had an issue with my husband after he failed to report home and on coming, he continued to call a woman he was having a relationship with. I was angry and burnt myself,” she was quoted in a local website.
Cynthia is pregnant and the doctors are investigating the extent of her abdomen burn and the status of her unborn child.
