Bobi Wine who made international headlines after he was jailed by the current Uganda President Yoweri Museveni and allegedly tortured by the government met up with rapper Octopizzo who hails from Kibera to speak to the youth at the Kamukunji grounds in Kibera.
Octopizzo accompanied the Ugandan -arguably revolutionalise-Bobi Wine on his neighborhood Kibera where he was born together with Boniface Mwangi and Embakasi East Member of Parliament, Babu Owino to address the youth who came out to listen to what the young politicians and the rapper Octopizzo had to say.
Kamukunji ground was at a capacity on the said rally which came out in large numbers.
Octopizzo, later on, answered a Twitter question directed to him by one of his followers who beseeched him to consider joining politics to which he answered him emphasizing that he won’t join politics and that he doesn’t need to join politics to help the youth.
“Staki kua MP Not all Leaders are politicians and all politicians aren’t Leaders, Artists should be the mouthpiece or mirror of their communities & should always be aware of their social challenges, & am using my platforms to address & bring to attention the challenges,” Octopizzo Tweet read.
Octopizzo is one of the voices who speak out for Kibera from Kibera having gotten raised from there.
