The entertainment scene in Kenya has been torn once again after the news of the sudden passing of one of the popular deejay reached the social media space.

DJ Rema whose fire mixes are matatu’s favorites has passed away after he allegedly committed suicide for an unknown reason/s which has come as a shock to many because he was one of the frequent deejays on Citizen TV’s One Love Reggae show and he was also a deejay at Mount Kenya TV.

It’s not yet disclosed what might have caused him to take his life but what we know for sure is that the entertainment scene is in disbelief after his sudden death with his family and close friends still in denial over his passing.

“It’s sad to write #RIPfriend. Please God we pray during hard times when we call for help, come to our rescue. Please youths, don’t commit suicide” Wrote Dr Eddie Gathenge on Facebook.

DJ Qariz Kenya on the other hand wrote; “Hard to believe you’re no more R.I.P DJ REMA 254”

In the recent past, it’s been reported that the majority of youth are battling depression in silence without talking to anybody close to them.
