Police search home linked to the unsolved murder of hip-hop legend Tupac Shakur

Police in the US state of Nevada carried out a search at a home in Henderson, a suburb of Las Vegas, where Tupac Shakur was gunned down in September 1996.

Authorities confirmed that they served a search warrant this week in connection with the unsolved killing of the legendary rapper.

Police, however, did not provide further details of the search, citing the ongoing investigation into the musician’s murder.

No arrests have been made and no suspects are currently in custody.

The home that was searched is less than 32km from the Las Vegas strip where Shakur was shot in a drive-by shooting.

Tupac Shakur was only 25 years old when he was killed.

He died on 13 September 1996, a week after he was shot four times in his car while waiting at a red light.

The circumstances surrounding his murder remain the subject of ongoing speculation and conspiracy theories.

Despite his untimely death, Tupac’s legacy continues to live on through his music, which remains influential and inspiring to new generations of artistes and fans.

He is often celebrated as one of the greatest rappers of all time and is remembered not only for his musical talent but also for his advocacy and commitment to social justice.
