Police spokesman Charles Owino now wants Cord leader Raila Odinga to record a statement with the police or lodge a complaint with the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (Ipoa) over the killing of controversial businessman Jacob Juma.
This is after Odinga claimed that Juma, a strong critic of the government, was assassinated by officers from the Flying Squad Unit.
According to Owino, such allegations are very serious and the best thing for the ODM leader to do is to record a statement with the police or Ipoa, so as to trace Juma’s killers.
“Politicians should for once take some issues seriously. A murder case should not be dragged into politics. What Honourable Raila Odinga claims is so serious.
