Police spokesman Charles Owino has revealed the police had launched investigations into the viral video showing GSU officers ruthlessly caning UoN students during the recent SONU after election violence.
Mr. Owino however cautioned the police could not independently verify whether the video was captured on Monday as purported.
The Police spokesperson revealed officers were instructed not to use unreasonable force or break into the hostels when quelling the violence.
The authenticity and time this video was shot is being investigated as well.
