Pierra Makena has been very secretive about her dating life. To date, the public still doesn’t know who the father of her daughter Ricca Pokot is.
The 42-year-old gave birth to her daughter in July 2016 when she had already broken up with her baby daddy.
The sultry DJ has been linked to a handful of men, there were claims that retired President Uhuru Kenyatta’s personal assistant and nephew Jomo Gecaga is her baby daddy.
Pierra has neither confirmed nor denied that Gacaga sired her daughter.
Speaking during a recent interview with Eve Mungai, Pierra Makena talked about how her baby daddy unceremoniously dumped her albeit without revealing his identity.
The mother of one revealed that her baby daddy got married to another woman while she was just five months pregnant for him.
Pierra recalled that after learning that she was pregnant, he vanished only to learn that he got married five months after their breakup.
“We were good together, but after we split and I found out I was pregnant, he disappeared. He wasn’t rude or mean about it, but five months later, he was saying ‘I do’ to someone else. It was incredibly painful. I didn’t think I could get past it, but I did. Life goes on,” Pierra shared.
The mother of one added that she vowed not to pursue legal action to force her baby daddy take responsibility for their daughter.
“I’d never take a guy to court. It just doesn’t sit right with me. I don’t want to force a man to pay. I believe it’s essential for the father to be there emotionally, to hug the baby, to be part of their life,” she said.
Pierra also noted that her baby daddy at one point wanted to be part of her daughter’s life but she later found out that his intentions were not sincere.
“We talked, and he admitted he hadn’t been a good parent and wanted to be in our child’s life. I agreed, but later, I realized his intentions weren’t pure. It felt like he was trying to achieve something at that time. He’s the father of the child, and things will never change, but unless he changes and is ready to be a father, right now I don’t want my daughter’s emotions to be played with,” she explained.
Pierra Makena additionally said that her baby daddy was not a married man when they were dating.
“Contrary to what people may think, he was never married. I’m not that kind of person. There are many speculations about my baby daddy, but I don’t talk about him on social media. Firstly, because he is married, and secondly, he’s not involved in our lives,” she clarified.
