Three ODM members have been accused of planning to overthrow President Uhuru Kenyatta from power
The three are MP Simba Arati, Nairobi ODM chairman George Aladwa and former Raila aide Caroli Omondi
They have been summoned by the DCI to record statements over the same
The claims were made by a University of Nairobi student who claims to be one of the recruits being trained in South Sudan
The student also says the recruits will work in hand with Riek Machar’s forces to overthrow the government
The summons are as a result of a University of Nairobi student who claimed that the three have been recruiting youth militia receiving training in South Sudan with the aim of overthrowing the Jubilee government come 2017 after the general election.
“Caroli, Arati and I have received the summons. A student claimed that we have been recruiting youth as militia in South Sudan. We don’t fear anything and the three of us will be there at 8 a.m,” Aladwa says.
