Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has met Kikuyu Council of Elders to clarify what he said about the community’s political plans.
William Kabogo, on Tuesday, June 14, said that some media houses misquoted his statement on the community’s support for Deputy President William Ruto in 2022.
“I have today met with the Kikuyu Council of Elders in regard to press reports that have continuously misquoted me in reference to the 2022 general election. We have agreed that the Gikuyu and other communities are and will be in continuous engagement and consultations for the present and future of our country,” he said.
William Kabogo added that he had nothing against Ruto and that he supported his presidential ambitions.
“I reiterate that am in full support of the deputy president,” he said.
