Former Deputy governor Samuel Wamathai has officially been sworn in as the new Nyeri governor by Justice Jarius Ngaah following the death of Nderitu Gachagua last Friday in London.
Samuel Wamathai has promised to perpetuate the legacy of the late Nyeri governor, Nderitu Gachagua to the best of his ability. Samuel will serve as the Nyeri governor until the up and coming general elections in August 8th 2017
