This past weekend, all roads were leading to Umoja Festival where reggae lovers got to meet up and see the Jamaican reggae superstar Jah Cure real name Siccature Alcock perform live in Nairobi.

The Jamaican reggae artiste who was given the Jah Cure by Capleton whom he met while growing up in Kingston is also known as the King of Lovers Rock and Roots Reggae. Jah Cure got to visit Kenya and loved it.
The Reggae Grammy nominee, Jah Cure was joined by the Nairobi governor, Mike Sonko where he helped in cleaning up Nairobi together with other Kenyans and he loved every bit of it.

“HISTORY WAS MADE IN AFRICA. BIGGEST SOLD OUT EVENTS IN KENYA OVER 20 YEARS IN THE INDUSTRY OF REGGAE MUSIC!! I’M SO PROUD TO BE A VESSEL.. THANK YOU JAH. THANK YOU MY FANS. THANKS FOR THE LOVE OF THE PEOPLE….#ILOVEYOUKENYA❤️” Jah Cure said about the love he experienced in Kenya.

Jah Cure also found the time to hang out with Maasai Warriors and even took pictures with them expressing how proud he was to have traced his African roots.

It was really interesting to see Jah CUre make a dramatic entrance at around 2:15am in a full traditional Maasai attire with six Maasai Morans escorting him to the stage. He was also holding a rungu on one hand and a microphone on the other hand.

Here are the photos of Jah Cure doing a media tour, meeting up with the Maasai Morons, meeting up with the Nairobi governor, Mike Sonko and even performing for his fans live at the Umoja Splash Festival at the Uhuru gardens.
