A 24-year-old Liliane Mugabekazi was arrested after she attended a concert by popular French musician Tayc wearing a sheer dress that exposed most of her private parts but not entirely her entire body, it was revealing but not exposing everything.
Mugabekazi’s sheer dress gave onlookers an unparalleled view of her boobs because she wasn’t wearing any bra. Her panties were also very conspicuous.
Mugabekazi’s revealing dress sparked public outcry prompting Rwandan authorities to spring into action and arrested her.
“She attended the concert while wearing clothes that reveal her private parts… clothes that we call shameful,” prosecutors said, accusing Mugabekazi of committing a “serious crime”.
The 24-year-old woman faces up to two years in jail for public indecency.
“It is on these serious grounds that we ask the court to remand Mugabekazi for 30 days.”
“She is suspected to have committed public indecency,” the spokesman for the prosecution, Faustin Nkusi told AFP.
