Photos: Matatus collide with a trailer at Ng’ata Nakuru killing 8

At Ngata bridge on the Nakuru-Eldoret highway, Eight people have perished in a gruesome traffic collision involving two matatus and a trailer.

One of the matatus’ drivers is among those who passed away. The trailer’s driver made it out safely.

Edwin Otieno, the sub-county police chief for Nakuru West, said that a trailer traveling in the direction of Nakuru went off the road and collided with an approaching matatu traveling in the direction of Kabsabet.

According to the police chief, a matatu traveling toward Kapsabet lost control and collided with another matatu traveling toward Bomet.

At least 16 people were seriously hurt, and they were taken to Nakuru Level Five Hospital to receive medical attention.
