Governor Ali Hassan Joho has been arrested. Joho was reportedly put behind bars together with MP Abdulsamad after storming a police station where his allies were being held.

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Director of Communications Philip Etale says the governor is being detained at Urban Police Station in Mombasa.
According to reports Joho was arrested with more than ten other leaders on Friday, January 13.
Through a statement from police boss Joseph Boinett, Joho had indeed stormed to the police station but to demand the release of a friend.
