Controversial pastor Victor Kanyari is still single seven years after he parted ways his ex-wife gospel singer Betty Bayo who has since remarried.
Kanyari and Betty Bayo got married in 2012 but parted ways shortly after the November 2014 exposé by former KTN journalist Mohammed Ali which revealed the preacher was performing fake miracles.
Betty Bayo remarried in December 2021.
Neno Evangelism founder Pastor James Ng’ang’a recently told Kanyari to move on and get a wife.
Over the weekend, Pastor Kanyari attended Pastor Ng’ang’a’s mega Crusade at the Soweto Jacaranda grounds.
Ng’ang’a noticed Kanyari was in attendance while he was preaching.
The Neno Evangelism founder burst into laughter after seeing Kanyari. He wondered aloud how Kanyari had changed physically from the last time he had seen him.
“Kwani Kanyari uko hapa? Hii Crusade imekujwa. Prophet, come and say hi to me, na weight mzee, weight,” Ng’ang’a joked about Kanyari losing weight.
While at the pulpit, Pastor Ng’ang’a also told Kanyari to move on and get another wife.
“I was telling you, si bibi alienda? There is another one,” Ng’ang’a said.
Kanyari smiling took the microphone and said he had attended the crusade since Pastor Ng’ang’a was like his spiritual dad.
“I was hiding somewhere behind there since I am afraid, but I thank God,” Kanyari said.
Pastor Ng’ang’a went on to state that Pastor Kanyari and other upcoming preachers are fond of making mistakes but he corrects them.
“Two wrongs can never make a right. When I came to Nairobi I was preaching at Pastor Kanyari’s church in Kawangware. I noticed some things were not right and I told him,” Ng’ang’a said.
