Controversial pastor Victor Kanyari, who ministers at the Salvation Healing Ministry church, recently made a surprising announcement that he will cease accepting offerings from his congregation.

Taking to the popular short video platform TikTok, where he has amassed a significant following, Kanyari shared his decision to chart a new course in his ministry.

Despite being frequently criticized for his perceived focus on financial gain, Kanyari appears to be shifting away from this narrative, emphasizing his commitment to redirecting offerings towards charitable causes.

“I have decided from today I will not be taking offerings. From today all my offerings will go to help the less fortunate. Therefore, in church every Sunday we will be helping the less fortunate,” he declared, outlining his intentions.

This announcement comes on the heels of a recent online uproar sparked by Kanyari’s receipt of lavish gifts from a TikTok user during a church service.

The pastor’s acceptance of items such as condoms and other romantic paraphernalia drew sharp criticism from the public, prompting Kanyari to issue an apology and assure that such incidents would not recur.

Addressing his newfound presence on TikTok, Kanyari clarified that his motivation for joining the platform was not driven by financial gain but rather a desire to reach and minister to young people exposed to negative influences online.

As Kanyari navigates the complexities of his public image and ministry, his decision to eschew donations in favor of charitable giving marks a notable shift in his approach, signaling a potential new chapter in his religious endeavors.
