Pastor Victor Kanyari lost his beloved kid sister Starlet Wahu Mwangi in tragic incident at an Airbnb in South B, Nairobi.
Police found the lifeless body of the deceased in a pool of blood in room Y32 of the Papino building where the Airbnb is located.
24-year-old Starlet Wahu and the main suspect in her murder 30-year-old John Matara were captured in CCTV footage as they checked in at the Airbnb for a night of fun that turned tragic.
Police believed Matara fatally stabbed Starlet before he fled the scene and was arrested at Mbagathi hospital receiving treatment for suspected self-inflicted wounds meant to mislead the investigation.
Pastor Victor Kanyari has broken his silence following the tragic death of his sister.
The controversial preacher expressed profound grief over the loss, highlighting her achievements and the family’s shock at the unfolding tragedy.
“I am heartbroken; she was doing so well in life. We last met on Christmas, and on December 31, we spent time together at home,” Pastor Kanyari shared in an emotional statement to Nairobi News.
Starlet Wahu is set to be laid to rest today, January 6, at her parents’ home in Kamulu.
