Owuor Arunga completes his rite of passage to manhood

The self proclaimedDizzy Gillespie” of hip hop, Owuor Arunga who made a name for himself after he played with Seattle hip hop acts including Macklemore (The Heist), The Physics, and Black Stax.

The Kisumu born artiste, music producer and trumpeter has since relocated to Kenya where he is currently based at and took his sweet time to go to his ancestral home where he built his Simba (a house that every male child from Luo tribe has to build in his father’s land to complete his rite of passage to manhood) in Homa Lime Kowuor, Nyanza in Kenya.

The Grammy Award winner took pride in this after completing his rite of passage to manhood.

” I have completed my Rite of Passage to Manhood. I’m thankful to the Ancestors for being my guide. Built my house before sun set and slept in it solo. #NyasaeBerAinya(GodIsGoodVeryMuch)”

he wrote about the completion of his “Simba” house.
