Two explosions at Zaventem, Brussels Airport have led to chaotic confusion among travelers.
Hundreds of people en-route different destinations will now have to wait or cancel their scheduled trips after this events at Brussels.
The airport has immediately imposed a lock down on all activities.
So far, 11 people are reported dead with over a dozen more injured, though the tally has not been confirmed by the Belgian authorities.
The blasts at Brussels Airport comes four days after the arrest of a suspected participant in November’s militant attacks in Paris that killed 130 people in November.
The Belgian capital is on a state of high alert following the arrest of Salah Abdeslam in the city last week.
Bombs are thought to have gone off in a departure lounge shortly after 8am, close to the American Airlines desk.
The Belgian government has confirmed there are casualties but has given no numbers yet.
The cause of the explosions is unknown. The airport is being evacuated and has been closed to flights.
