Otile Brown has taken to social media to address the issue of his songs getting taken down from YouTube. All of the songs that have been taken down had over 3 million streams on YouTube alone.

Issuing an official statement over the deletion of his YouTube videos, the ‘Dusuma’ hitmaker says that his team has already reached out to Google’s YouTube team asking them to restore the deleted videos.

Otile Brown’s best performing videos were pulled down on YouTube on October 6, 2021, without his and/or his team’s knowledge.

So far the videos that have since been deleted are; ‘Dusuma’, ‘Regina’, ‘Ndagukunda’, ‘Chaguo La Moyo’, ‘In Love’, ‘Jamila’, ‘Watoto na Pombe’, ‘Hi’, ‘Baby Love’, ‘Samantha’, ‘Aiyana’, ‘Crush’ just to mention a few.

“We wish to officially shed some light on the circumstances that led to the removal of our content on our YouTube channel on or about the 6th of October 2021 without our consent,” Otile Brown’s management team wrote in part in their official statement.

“We cannot get into the specific reasons that led to the deletion but we would like to assure you that we took up the issue with our legal team, partners, and with YouTube/Google who confirmed that there had been an issue but assured us that they are working to resolve, restore and reinstate the content.

We wish to extend our sincere apologies for the inconvenience occasioned by this unprecedented setback and most importantly thank you for all your support as we work hard to resolve the issue. We endeavor to keep you updated as more progress is realized. Let us keep supporting the new projects that we will be releasing moving forward. We really appreciate the constant and unending support from you!” the statement concluded.

A few days ago, Otile Brown touched on his songs getting pulled down on YouTube questioning what there is to gain for the haters who love to see people hurt even if they haven’t done anything wrong to them.

He noted that he will not lose his composure for the people who cheat or bring people down so that they can shine.

No respect 4 people who will cheat or bring others down to shine .. weak ish* .. anyways I’m currently in South Africa drinking one of the best cocktails in the world .. rocking new Versace Glasses, new new balance 550 shoe, new Zara sweatshirt & a Gucci body cross bag .. let’s not talk about them lil chains please 😊😏 losing my cool with y’all,” Otile Brown shared when he was in South Africa
