Otile Brown has come out to lament about the sorry state of Kenyan music industry as he compared and contrasted it with the thriving South African music industry.

Otile noted that South African music industry is thriving and earning musicians crazy money because stake holders have jealously protected it from infiltration of foreign music.

The singer revealed that a foreign song can be big in the rest of Africa but receives very little to no airplay at all in South Africa because they value their own local songs so much – a thing that has seen their local musicians earn handsomely from revenue generated from their songs.

“South African Entertainment Industry Is not loud but it’s Rich asf …

Otile concluded by urging key stakeholders in Kenyan music industry to do the right thing to ensure local musicians benefit immensely from the local market by creating enabling environment which will benefit current and the next generations of artistes.

“Wewe endlea kuharibu game just to prove a point hadi mwanao aje kutokea kua msanii kwenye sanaa hio hio ulioharibu kwa nafasi uliokua nayo.. it’s bigger than you, bigger than us. Tupunguze tabia za kuwaza leo tu!”
