A fierce exchange of words has erupted between Otile Brown and Bien on social media over the past weeked, captivating fans and followers alike.
The quarrel began when Bien took a jab at Otile, accusing him of criticizing his latest collaboration featuring Prince Indah and Adenkule.
Bien didn’t hold back, stating, “Otile, you don’t have any money… who are you talking like? He released an album that didn’t go far…”
This pointed comment set the stage for an escalating war of words.
In response, Otile Brown wasted no time hitting back on his Instagram, asserting that he refuses to engage in debates with individuals who consider every popular song to be a good one, seemingly alluding to Bien’s musical endeavors.
“I can’t argue with people who think any popular song is a good song, and that’s how you ruined the game. Now you have to shake your hips on social media to push a product that will only last for a week or two…” his post read.
Otile defended his music style, emphasizing that he focuses on creating original material while critiquing Bien’s target audience.
“…you make music for a small group of people in the city who consider themselves to be very knowledgeable about life,” he remarked, implying that Bien’s appeal is limited and disconnected from wider audiences.
Moreover, Otile challenged Bien to compare their latest hits directly, claiming superiority in terms of quality and longevity.
“Look at your last hit song and look at mine,” he boldly stated. “It’s still the biggest hit in the country in terms of comments. It’s the best music video in the country for almost a year, and I didn’t need to shake my waist on social media,” he added, drawing a sharp distinction between their careers.
It is not the first time that Otile Brown and Bien are at odds.
In June, Bien criticized Otile Brown after he falsely claimed that Kenya lacks international artistes.
In a rebuttal, Bien pointed out that Otile’s limited exposure might be the reason behind his comments.
