Raila Odinga has angered the JAP politicians for having that tussle over Uhuru Park with preachers who’d booked the venue for prayers on Madaraka Day. And in pure Kenyan style, Raila Odinga and his CORD team have been begged to respect God.
I got to know about this last night via NTV news with Victoria Rubadiri, this is after rumors went wild that Raila Odinga was fighting with Preachers after IEBC which BiggestKaka also highlighted.
Well, I must admit that Raila Odinga is being wrong advised and he should be careful how he portrays himself and the CORD army as we head towards the elections. Whats the fuss with holding a meeting at Uhuru Park anyway?
Now that President Uhuru Kenyatta has decided to break the tradition by taking Madaraka day celebrations to Nakuru, why can’t they book Nyayo Stadium or Kasarani or any other field which is available and leave this pull with preachers?
You see,JAP is using this SMALL issue to paint Raila Odinga as a person who Kenyans should be wary of? We do not have to agree on matters all the time, and it must be respected that Raila Odinga and CORD have same rights as the preachers but in a society where a majority subscribe to Religion, if one is ever seen to have a counter with the Church,it might not look so good…am just saying!
This only confirms stories that are widely known about you and not believing in God..and it is not a good picture for people like me who fully and totally believe in God and the church,I am beginning to look at CORD in a different way forward. Well, you have every right to believe in whatever best suits you,its not crime again.
JAP however should not escalate this issue to look like Raila Odinga is trying to out do President Uhuru Kenyatta by calling for a political meeting during Madaraka Day,they should see it as a change in how things are done, after all the president has taken celebrations to Nakuru for the first time,CORD must have known about early to take advantage of the void.
I know media will not be allowed to air Raila Odinga’s meeting live, guess the magitude of CORD’s rally will only be felt by people on the ground not people like us here in the village.
Going forward, CORD and Raila Odinga should as was put, simply respect the Church and God,there is no need to fight for Uhuru Park when they can book other many available grounds.
Don’t they see how JAP is using this instance to discredit them? To say they have allegedly sinister wishes for Kenya? That they are in pursuit to destabilize the country, from anti-IEBC protests to now this? Or are they blind to see,the negative energy being shoved their way?Raila Odinga and the CORD team should open their eyes and see the long-term this will have on them towards the elections in 2017.
Just respect God and the Church sir, is all I ask for.
