Octopizzo has brought forth the talent Sailors has as bonafide artistes under the new budding genre in the country, genge tone.
Apparently Sailors can actually rap and trap and thanks to Octopizzo’s record dubbed ‘Wakiritho’ which features the group, Sailors proved themselves that they are actually versatile artistes and they can somewhat even go head to head with some of your best rap artistes in the game today if they beat goes in hard enough.
This is Octopizzo’s feature in two years so it has to be priceless in a sense, Octopizzo has made a name for himself as one rapper who doesn’t need any collaboration to have his record become an instant hit, the Kibera born rapper might have seen the potential in Sailors to have worked with them because he just don’t work with anybody in the music industry, everything has to align and just be right.
“1st Colabo in 2yrs Na ju Hii ngoma ina mtu sita, hatuezi ngojea hadi 8th.” Octopizzo on working with Sailors.
Octopizzo joins some of the top mainstream rap artistes to collaborate with gengetone artistes, Femi One also collaborated with Boondocks Gang on her previous project.
Thanks to Octopizzo, Sailors have solidified themselves as established artistes who can clearly spit some lyrics that makes your head bob even in oblivion, oh! on this record, their screams(which are their M.O(method of operation)) were in-synced with the beat making the record even livelier.
It’s safe to say that Sailors are ready to take over the international market if they will continue releasing music like this.
For a moment there, you might think there was Migos’ Offset rappin on the record as produced by Jon Rook because of the way Miracle Baby jumped on the beat rapping the hook of the song away.
