Octopizzo is a superstar and a philanthropist who is also a human activist who does not need any introduction whatsoever, he doesn’t even need to do anything to prove himself that he’s on another level as compared with other rappers in the game.
The rapper who came up from nothing to become one of the most accomplished entertainers in the Kenyan music and entertainment industry today has seen it all.
When he was in Kibera, his mental state wasn’t with him there, he had a vision and dream that he wanted to achieve and he did it, he might as well be the diamond in the dirt which was found in the harsh realities of Kibera streets proving this analogy to be true since he’s the diamond from Kenya that shines a bright light in that area ever since he broke out and became successful more than a decade ago.
Despite his success and his accomplishment as a rapper, a human activist, a fashionista even a philanthropist, he has met a lot of strong and powerful men and women in the whole world but he’s never been star-struck meeting them.
Octopizzo has met up with Didier Drogba, Barrack Obama, Jidenna, Chris Tucker, Chris Bosh, Dikembe Mutombo, Ogugua “OG” Anunoby Jr., Princes of the UAE, Immortal Technique, and the list goes on and on but he’s never been star-struck.
Sitting on an interview at the Iko Nini podcast, he opened up saying that there’s only one person that made him feel star-struck and that was none other than the Godfather of the Genge genre in the country, Just Cali.
In the interview, Octopizzo said that he met Jua Cali when he was shooting for his hit song ‘Ivo Ivo Ivo’ and Jua Cali was really cool, collected, and helpful to him as opposed to other musicians who are usually prideful once they get to get known.

He said that Jua Cali is one of the most humbled people you’ll ever meet and he’s the one who gave him the place to record the ‘Ivo Ivo Ivo’ visuals that was shot by Enos Olik.
A lot of people don’t know this but the video was shot in California, in Nairobi, the same neighborhood Jua Cali has been representing ever since he went commercial years ago.
Ever since that day, Octopizzo and Jua Cali whose real name is Paul Julius Nunda have been considering themselves close friends, they’ve been keeping tabs on each other for years.
It’s surprising that they don’t have a song together despite knowing each other for all these years. Maybe someday, we’ll get to see it, you know with Octopizzo, he’s always unpredictable, you’d never see him coming each time he makes a money move.

Octopizzo has reiterated enough times that his music is all about the money, he cannot work with anyone just for the sake of it, if he has to work with you, you ought to bring something to the table that will both benefit him as much as you will benefit from him when he works with you that’s probably one of the reasons why it’s hard seeing Octopizzo collaborating with artistes out there.
Octopizzo is always calculating ahead before making his major move right now.
