Veteran rapper, Youth Leader and Human Activist Octopizzo whose real name is Henry Ohanga gave Prezzo his flowers to smell them when he’s still alive in his recent interview.
In his recent interview, Octopizzo said that he was inspired to rap because of Kenya’s legendary rapper Prezzo and his influence.
He noted that Prezzo changed the hip hop and rap scene as we know it today, soon after he joined the music industry a couple of years ago.
Octopizzo intimated that Prezzo brought some new swag and a different side of hip hop that the Kenyan hip hop scene had not seen earlier thus inspiring a lot of rappers to rap and as it turns out, Octopizzo is one of those inspired rappers who picked up the microphone to be a rapper.
“I started rapping because of Prezzo, when I was in High School, the President debuted… First, there was no swag in the [music] industry, he came different, he was flowing differently, he was a rich person who I could entertain.
You know us by default when you’re from the ghetto you were automatically supposed to hate on the barbies[rich kids] just because they’re from well-off families and it’s negative.
Man, this man comes [in the music industry], I love the way he [rap]flows, I love the way he wears his clothes, and then Nonini as well. When I was growing up, I used to know almost all the songs of Prezzo, I used to perform some of them in school for fun,” Octopizzo said in his interview.

Taking note of this, Prezzo took to social media to give props to the prolific rapper Octopizzo thanking him for giving him his flowers to smell while he’s still alive and well to smell them.
“My brother Octopizzo I salute you! Bless up for giving me my flowers while I can smell them. Much success! Much success 🙌🏽 the rest are still in denial,” Prezzo wrote on social media.
Octopizzo becomes another mainstream, successful rapper who took his time to give Prezzo his well-deserving props for the huge part he played in shaping the Kenyan hip hop and rap scene in the recent past.
Khaligraph Jones also is on record paying respect and homage to Prezzo for what he did for the hip hop and rap scene in Kenya today as we know it.
