Octopizzo honors his late father in a big way

Octopizzo has come up from the trenches to become one of the best rappers Kenya has ever seen and respected not only in the country but across the region.

When you talk hip hop and rap in Kenya, there’s no way you can talk about it without putting Octopizzo in that conversation, Octopizzo is one accomplished rapper most aspiring rappers looks up to.

That being said, Octopizzo’s route to the top hasn’t been as easy as you’d imagine.

Having been born and bred in Kibera, he had to fight for everything he has today and he hasn’t been able to forget where he’s come from and he is not showing any signs of forgetting his roots, he only shows the prospect of always giving back to the community.

Almost a week ago, the entire world was celebrating Father’s Day, Octopizzo real name Henry Ohanga took the time to write a special open letter to his late father.

“Happy Father’s Day to the Hood LORD aka Ogwanjo aka Mr OHANGA Snr.” Octopizzo said, “You taught me how to drip before I even knew how to read ( High Fashion Blackman).”

“You taught me how to fight & since then I’ve never lost any fight to nobody & probably never will.”

Octopizzo who opened up saying that he learned all about his fashion sense from his late father also said that he would have had his father, Mr. Ohanga as the CEO of his foundation, Octopizzo Foundation if he were alive today.

“Last but not least, everything to do with community service & family service all came from You, would be great to make you the CEO at Octopizzo Foundation if you were alive today.”
