Octopizzo is not always about the music, he’s been a keen follower and believer of justice, justice reforms, and uplifting his community of Kibera by helping in whichever way he can when he’s needed by his people and also painting the slum in a positive light.
The respected rapper who has surpassed any expectations he had put in place for himself as a rapper has once again shown his human rights activism side by finding lawyers who will help in the release of two young prisoners from Kamiti Maximum Prison.
Octopizzo who is currently getting ready to release his studio album found time out of his busy schedule to help two prisoners find good attorneys who would take their cases and he did just that, he found lawyers who agreed to take two cases pro bono.
One out of the two prisoners in the two cases they decided to take was arrested when he was a minor but his case for some reason/s is over 2 years old.
Octopizzo is very optimistic that the two young boys will get released real soon so that they go back home to their loved ones.
“Great time with my attorney friends yesterday who joined us at Kamiti Maximum Prison during the Juvenile reform program. They took up 2 cases pro bono, one of which, when the arrest occurred, he was a minor but his case is over 2 years old.
With this case in their hands am optimistic that the young Boyz will get to go back home to their families and follow their new rehabilitated paths,” Octopizzo shared on social media.
Prior to Octopizzo finding his lawyer friends for this noble cause, the prisoners wouldn’t have anyone to fight for them and their freedom so what Octopizzo is doing is really a big deal for the prisoners and their loved ones.
