Octopizzo in his hood, kibera where he has been representing ever since he got in the music game

Octopizzo: don’t feel sorry for me because I tell you about my past

Octopizzo is by far one of the well respected and few rappers and entertainers in Kenya today and we all know as well as he does that he has worked hard to be where he is today and to achieve all the accolades he has been able to achieve through the help of his unique music and sound that has surpassed the plateau that he would’ve thought it would ever reach.

I am open to be corrected but I believe Octopizzo is the one rapper who has been representing his hood ever since he broke out to be who he is and he has never ever wavered or stopped letting the whole world know where he has come from, Kibera which most of you including Google would love to call slums.

Paying homage of course to Kalamashaka, K-South and Mau Mau who started representing their neighborhoods long before Octopizzo came in the music industry, but Octopizzo has been prolifically representing Kibera for the longest time ever since his first ‘Get That Mulla, Buy that Ndula’ hit record and he has never felt any less telling people that he’s from the ghetto and how he came from nothing to something and still he has never stopped visiting there even though he moved from there.

Octopizzo has since made a name for himself in the music industry/music business and recently he got unveiled as one of the faces of Smirnoff Kenya faces alongside fellow rap artiste, Fena Gitu. He sure is winning in everything he touches nowadays plus he is engaged to a beautiful Caucasian girlfriend. photo credit: Instagram/octopizzo

Opening up on Instagram, Octopizzo talked about how he doesn’t seek your sympathy or empathy when he tells his story that he is from the ghetto but because he wants you to know who he is today and how far he has come from.

“If I ever tell you about my past, it’s not coz I want you to feel sorry for me but so that you can understand why I am Who I am; Mountains do not rise without Earthquakes,” he posted on Instagram.
