Octopizzo has shared his thoughts on what he believes could be a solution to the ongoing protests in the country.
The rapper began by highlighting a widespread sentiment among Kenyans, pointing out that dissatisfaction with the current government extends beyond Nairobi to every county.
Octopizzo revealed that he had created a video for the president, outlining steps that could be taken to reduce the protests.
“Prezzo huku nje rada chafu. Nilimwambia vile anaweza kuokoa doh. Hizi ni mawazo tuko nazo. Aende acheki hio video,” Octopizzo said during an interview with SPM Buzz.
Octopizzo emphasized that President Ruto could learn valuable lessons from the video that might help change the current situation.
“Ata jifunze vitu tatu, nne venye ata change situation. But the most important thing naweza ambia president, corruption ndio inatumeshea,” Octopizzo said.
Hundreds of Kenyans gathered at Uhuru Park for the ShuGenz festival, which was organized to honor those who lost their lives in the recent anti-government protests.
The protests, which erupted in June, were fueled by proposed tax increases and calls for President Ruto to resign.
At the event, young people held placards bearing messages like “RIP Comrades” and “We promise we will continue to fight.”
The crowd chanted slogans against the current administration, and some participants marked the ground with crosses.
The timing of the festival was significant as it coincided with Saba Saba Day, a historic day in 1990 when protests led to the return of multi-party democracy in Kenya.
