Nation FM is about to get back on the airwaves about three years after Nation Media Group (NMG) decided to shut down its entire radio operation in Kenya and Rwanda.
Nation FM struggled with low listenership for a long time leading to the management’s decision to shut it down altogether, the station has rebranded a number of time and was at one point called Easy FM.
Now NMG’s top honchos have decided to give Nation FM a new lease of life and they are hiring top presenter to make sure station attracts a significant audience.
Comedian Obinna and singer Anto Neosoul, who used to work at the station before it was closed, are among the presenters who have been hired.
There are also new faces, NTV presenters Dr King’ori and Cate Rira have also bagged themselves a show on Nation FM. They will be hosting the breakfast show from Monday to Friday.
