NTV’s The Beat comes to an end as curtains fall on Kenya’s longest music show

The Beat music show that has been running on NTV for as long as every Kenyan youth can remember is finally coming to an end.

The secular music show which has been playing many genres of music from hip-hop to Bongo has been running for the past 14 years will air its last episode at the end of this week.

This was announced on the official Instagram handle of the show; “To everyone who has watched us for the past 14 years supported us, criticized us, sent a shout out we are happy to have been in this long journey together”. And for many who wondered what next and if the show I going off air for good; “The show comes to an end on NTV and we moving to shape the Kenyan music industry. Keep it locked on our new YouTube channel/ social media handles for updates.” Many fans of the show received the news with nostalgia as they reminisced about the show and many appreciated on how the show was part of their teenage and campus years.
