Cosmetics entrepreneur Michelle Ntalami has strongly criticized journalists and blogs for misquoting her in previous interviews while saying that she has a tendency to reject her previous lovers.
Through a long message that Ntalami had to put on his Instagram page, he said that many have been misquoting her, but she admitted that her previous relationship was agreed with his girlfriend whom she did not mention as it would be a secret and if they were asked each of them would completely deny it.
“I was once in a relationship where due to its nature and lack of mutual trust in it, I did not feel confident to confirm it in public. I also felt pressured to say what we were in the media. We agreed that if they ask, ‘we will refuse.’ Which we both did in the interview, not just me,” Ntalami said.
The businesswoman said that to this day she regrets the act while saying that if she would have the ability to go back in time then that is something she would never do.
She said that in her journey of love going forward, she would not to lie and vowed to explain everything in her truth, citing a recent interview where she had to tell the truth about her relationship with artist Fena Gitu.
She scolded those who see her with her female and male friends and started spreading rumors that they are dating. She wanted this to stop until she herself proves it.
“Moving forward, “private but not secret” is my policy. If I am happy to talk about my dating life, I will answer honestly. I have several boyfriends and girlfriends. I ask people to stop assuming that we are dating or that there is more to it, every time I see them or share experiences online. Then when I define it with truth, it’s called ‘denial.’ Stop it. Until I prove my relationship myself, stop rumouring.”
She said that when the right time comes, she cannot hide her lover if she is 100% sure that he/she is the right person for her.
Ntalami asked people to sit back and wait for her declaration instead of spreading rumors about her love life.
“I value my peace and privacy. When the time comes and I’m 100% sure with my man, make sure it won’t be a secret. Let people be. Let the past rest without bringing it up every time I seem to be happy and move on with my life,” Ntalami added.
