Nqobile Danseur wants the world to understand that it’s only right to give props where it’s due without compromising the original version.
The renowned dancer who had worked with Davido, Maleek Berry, Drake, Diamond Platnumz and so many other internationally acclaimed artistes shared a few days ago why it’s wrong for everybody else calling do on the Amapiano genre which is an original sound of South Africa to the core now that it’s is global.
Apparently, there are some bunch of people who have started attaching themselves to the Amapiano sound that has been made global by Focalistic, DJ Maphorisa, and others starting to add something on top of the original sound saying that it’s their sound.
For starters, everybody knows that Amapiano sound is a Mzansi sound just as Bongo Flava is a Tanzanian sound as much as Afrobeats, Afrofusion, and Highlife is predominantly a Nigerian sound so it’s rather futile for anybody to start changing the originality of the Amapiano genre.
