Actor Nick Mutuma-who is a Kenyan actor, model and television host has been acting professionally since 2008.
Nick has starred in Changes, The drama series MTV Shuga and State House.
He is also the host of the popular Mashariki Mix- and TV presenter Martin Kimathi -has come a long way; from interning at One FM news department, where he left to launch his own clothing #Never99 to finally landing a job of his dreams, hosting one of Kenya’s most popular Teen shows, Teen Republik.
Apart from TV hosting Martin Co-owns an events company, Dawn Experience, as well as youth mentorship program ‘ Hopes & dreams, Ways & means’ that seeks to empower young people with life skills, & career advice- have teamed up to bring a new, fresh innovative show to the screens.
The show titled Ocha depicts Nick and Martin going back to their roots to build up a coffee farm from scratch in Meru County.
Both Nick and Martin feel they deserve a break from the entertainment industry which is all a facade as artistes are living a lie and drowning in debt in a bid to keep up with showbiz.
“ I needed to get away from all the hype and try detox. I want to get my priorities in order and figure out what matters and why I do what I do,” says Nick Mutuma.
Both Nick and Martin are seen trying their hand at everything in a bid to adapt to the rural life & build up a profitable coffee farm business.
However, they are both in for more than they bargained for as the farm is far from any township with poor roads, and no electricity.
“Some times you need to step away from it all to see the bigger picture“ says Martin Kimathi.
Will cutting themselves off from the world be the thing they need to regain focus on their purpose in life?
