Chain Lamar, also known as Musa Salim is an artiste born and raised in Kilifi and now based in Kisumu. Chain Lamar is a singer, rapper, songwriter and a guitarist.
Chain Lamar is from a very humble background, second born in the family of four. Started doing music in 2005 as backup artiste to his mum who is a professional gospel singer and later 2007 started doing secular music in a band based in Kisumu named (Six String band) with a lot of struggle, he still remain at the top of his game. He is well known for his love songs and life touching activities.
The talented musician owns a community library in Kisumu situated in Nyalenda slum and has also performed alongside Sauti Sol band, Ommy dimples of Tanzania and Cindy Sanyu of Uganda at the Nile festival in Kisumu and many other huge shows. He has a video for the single ‘Cheka Cheka’ which also runs the airwave. Lamar makes a debut single comeback with yet another smash hit single ‘Mwambie’.
Lamar is currently managed by Mtanashati of Alka Productions, powered by musician and music producer Vekta Kenya.
