Kenyan netizens have given President William Ruto’s daughter Charlene Ruto a new moniker, ‘Quickmart Ivanka’.
‘Quickmart Ivanka’ is trending as many users try to understand the root of the topic.
Charlene Ruto has been transversing the country and other continents recently and this from our findings does not sit well with a few citizens.
But why Quickmart Ivanka?
Ivana Marie “Ivanka” Trump is a successful businesswoman from the United States and the first child of Donald Trump, who served as the 45th president of the country from 2017 to 2021. She served as the director of the Office of Economic Initiatives and Entrepreneurship and was a senior counselor in her father’s administration.
Kenyans have noticed that Charlene Ruto is equally involved in his father’s government just like Ivanka was, though it’s not yet clear in what capacity or role she is taking the initiative to meet leaders and run other important noble campaigns. S
Some notable politicians have also asked what role miss Charlene Ruto holds as well in the Kenya Kwanza-led government.
According to reports, Ivanka Trump’s decision to leave politics was influenced by the loss of friends, harsh public criticism, and commentaries.
Will Charlene Ruto handle and excel through the murky trolls and conversations from Kenyans on Twitter? Only time can tell how strong she is and how far she’ll go with her ideas.
Media Personality and Author, Ciku Muiruri fully supports her; via her Twitter account, Ciku says,
“Charleen Ruto is spearheading tree planting efforts across Kenya & educating future leaders (school kids) on importance of mitigating Climate Change. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 For her trouble, she’s getting dragged on social media and being called ‘Quickmart Ivanka’ 😏🙄 Rumble young girl, Rumble!”
Charlene Ruto recently urged leaders to give climate mitigation measures a top priority. She mentioned that climate change was an issue that needed immediate attention when she paid a courtesy call to the County Assembly.
Charlene Ruto reiterated the President’s Mashujaa Day speech that every Kenyan should plant 300 trees when she took part in a tree-planting activity at the Assembly compound.
For Quickmart, it’s because Charlene Ruto has traveled to many places recently across the country; likening her movement to the presence of Quickmart supermarket branches in almost every town in Kenya if not every estate.
Who came up with the Quickmart Ivanka moniker first?
Rodgers Kipembe Mpuru, Secretary General, The NOPEU Party asked via his Twitter account.
“As a Kenyan of goodwill, will you contribute your salary?”
This was after DP Rigathi Gachagua requested Kenyans to support the government in the fight against drought and hunger.
